Nurses are you Ready?
Resistance to change is an emotional/behavioral response to real or imagined threats to an established work routine. Resistance can be as subtle as passive resignation and as overt as deliberate sabotage. I know you can deal your fear and vent to accept change as you go along. #believe#try #openYourMIND #desiretoLEARNnewTHINGS #yousurviveforSURE#doingTHEright #forTHErightREASONS

Dear Ma’am:

I am writing to formally notify you of my resignation from the position as Job Order Nurse under the Nursing Service Division of Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, Bacolod City, effective on May 17, 2017. I was recently offered a new opportunity to my nursing career. My decision to resign was finalized after long and careful consideration of all factors. I love this job - the duties of this job, the people I work with in the area and patients and coworkers I have gotten to know for almost a year of working under CLMMRH.

I regret leaving friends and coworkers in Medical Wards (Floor 1); however, I feel the change will be beneficial to my long term career goals and objectives. I have greatly enjoyed and appreciated that you have provided me your professional guidance and support that earned more learning to my entire stay to this institution.

I sincerely thank you for the opportunities, experience, and knowledge I have gained at CLMMRH. I have so enjoyed working with many of the people who work directly under your supervision. I am looking forward to work with you in the near future. If there is anything I can do to provide a smoother transition during this process, please feel free to let me know.

Very sincerely,

JEETRE D. TRINIDAD

The Rise of the ‘Bromosexual’ Friendship

A recent ad for the Bravo TV show “Shahs of Sunset” finds two of its male stars lazing on lounge chairs at the beach. Amid a scene of scantily clad sun worshipers, the best friends Reza Farahan and Mike Shouhed gaze at different objects of desire: Mr. Farahan at musclebound guys, Mr. Shouhed at voluptuous women.
Their distinct lusts, which may have alienated gay and straight men from each other in the past, inspire the ultimate gesture of fraternal connection: a fist bump.
“Mike and I are so similar,” Mr. Farahan said. “He has been a womanizer and I’ve been a player. In the ad, we’re having a moment, and it’s the same moment. The only difference is that I’m looking at men and he’s looking at women.”
The bond strikes the Irish author Jarlath Gregory as fresh for the culture and familiar to him. His latest novel, “The Organised Criminal,” has at its center a brotherly friendship between a gay man and a straight man.
“That kind of easy relationship would not be credible to a broad audience 10 years ago,” said Mr. Gregory, 38, who is gay. “One of the things my publisher liked about my book was that this friendship was something we haven’t seen much before.”
At least in pop culture we haven’t. Obviously, there have always been friendships between gay men and straight men, but only recently have they become more prominently, and comfortably, represented in TV shows, movies, books and blogs.
There is often a traditionally masculine sense of familiarity at play in these portrayals, exuding a feeling particular enough to suggest its own term: bromosexual relationships.
Their emerging representation contrasts with one that has become a cliché: the connection between a straight woman and her gay male best friend.
The latest media reflection also takes a significant leap from one of its earliest iterations. From 2003 to 2007, “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” presented gay men as magical beings who functioned as helpers to heterosexual men, schooling them in matters of fashion and home décor while keeping much of their own lives off-screen.
By contrast, the last season of “Scream Queens” found the hunky Nick Jonas presenting himself as a gay frat boy who bonds over golf with his straight fraternity brother and best friend, Chad.

CLMMRH-BATCH2016(MARCH)@FirstYear

Nurses lead very demanding lives. Working with doctors, healing patients, and educating the folks are just a few of the responsibilities nurses perform daily. You could say that nurses are the backbone of our healthcare care system, providing us with the attention and medical care that we need to live healthy long-lasting lives. Sometimes being a nurse can be exhausting at times, but the knowledge and power to help heal others are what keep them going in challenging times.

And while nurses are strong-spirited, positive, and focused even they need a little pick me up every once in a while. Just look at these very handsome and beautiful nurses, I think if you know them better u would rather confine @ Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital under their nursing care.

Taogama Way of Service!
Hearts of Gold
Sherry York

There are times in our lives when we sit down and wonder where our lives will lead us.
Sometimes we get so caught up in our jobs that we forget what we truly represent.
We get frustrated, aggravated, pushed to the limits and so mentally tired that we feel what is the use in being a Nurse.
But then someone gives us a weak smile or holds our hand and may say "thank you, you are so special."
The we feel the warmth growing in our hearts.
All the bad feelings disappear and replaced by the core values that we present:
human dignity, compassion, dedication, integrity, stewardship, leadership and excellence.
So when the bad feelins begin to show take the times to say this prayer:
Lord, help me to bring comfort where there is pain.
    Courage where there is despair.
Acceptance when the end is near.
A touch gentle with tenderness, patience, and love.
And, always remember, all Nurses are truly blessed.
For you see --- God gave of Hearts of Gold.
"We are the Care Specialists because our hands are the extension of God's hands when we serve because of love."

"One thing is sure. We have to do something. We have to do the best we know how at the moment . . . ; If it doesn't turn out right, we can modify it as we go along."

YES i turned out RIGHT!

The Epic Way of CARE!

    Another Goodbye
    By Jennifer Huff,

I said goodbye to you today.
    In my own quiet way.
    A hidden tear was shed.
Tribute to the life you led.

Empty chair, an unspoken reminder of you.
Too soon to be filled by a patient so new.
Numb to the pain of so many goodbyes.
Sorrow hidden, secretly brushing tears from my eyes.

You joined the others who paved the way for you.
The leader, the song-man, the fiesty one, too.
The one who decided that he'd just had enough.
Saying farewell to you all has been so tough.

I like to imagine you are all gathered up there.
Playing poker, having feasts, so many stories to share.
No more restrictions on fluid and food.
No longer chained to disease, it is as it should.

Those of us left behind, keep your memory alive.
Working hard every day to help others survive.
Chair no longer empty, a new soul to tend.
    Hidden tears suppressed.
A new beginning to the end.

Friendship Stories

Everyone has friendship stories; stories that define what makes each friendship so special or what makes a group of friends so fun to be around. We want to share as many stories about friendship as we possibly can on this site. Oh, sure, it will start out small, but in time, we'll have zillions of stories to share. Share yours. Just get in touch with us through the form below. If it works with the site, we'll publish it.

There are a few friendship stories that might not be suitable for our site, so that is why we ask you to query first. A couple of hints to make it easier to submit your story: no foul language is allowed at all and you have to be able to write well enough for a high school freshman to be able to understand what you’re talking about. Oh, and one other thing: Since the focus of this site is on helping friends make friends and keep friends, it's best to relate stories that follow along those lines. Make your story fun to read, ok?

So, having said all of that, how about a story to get you started?

Share your friendship stories?
